The original Siler lock is a copy of a German style, hand-forged lock used by mid to late 18th century gunmakers. This lock is commonly found on 1770 to 1790 period rifles made by well known makers such as Jacob Dickert, Issac Haines, J.P. Beck and many others. The smaller size of this lock makes it ideal for pistols or smaller rifles of this period. Plate Dimensions: 4-3/4″ x 7/8″ Drum size: 7/16″ Right hand only.
