Investment Cast
This Small machined investment cast Off Hand – Box Lock percussion action has a single non-adjustable trigger with half cock. The overall action body length, including the butt stock mounting tang but not including the barrel threads, is 6-1/4″ at the top and 5-5/8″ at the bottom. It measures 1-1/16″ top to bottom and tapers from 2″ at the front to 1-3/4″ at the back of the stock mounting tang. The through bolt threads for the butt stock are 1/4×20.
Threaded to accept a barrel that has 3/4×16 breech threads. The action is threaded to take a 1/4×28 nipple. Comes with a Late Hawken trigger guard installed.
This action will work well with short tapered 1″ or 1-1/8″ barrels designed for off-hand shooting.
